The RoleYou will act as a trusted advisor to the business, providing commercially focused compliance guidance while ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements across the UK and international operations. Key Duties Lead the delivery of the annual Compliance Plan and key workstreams Provide expert advice on regulatory matters, including sanctions, licensing and SMCR Oversee financial crime controls, including sanctions screening and due diligence on insureds and brokers Design and deliver risk-based monitoring and assurance programmes Support the development and embedding of compliance frameworks, policies and governance structures Manage and support members of the Compliance team Assist with regulatory applications and engagement with regulators Contribute to Board and Committee reporting and attend senior governance forums Deliver compliance training across the business Experience Required Minimum 5+ years’ Compliance experience within the insurance sector (essential) Strong background in financial crime, sanctions, licensing and regulatory advisory Experience within a non-life insurer environment Proven ability to operate as a decision-maker on complex compliance matters Experience managing or mentoring team members Strong understanding of UK regulatory frameworks and insurance market practices
