Property Underwriter – International
Our client has a strong presence in the London market within the international casualty remit, and is looking for an experienced (at least 5 years underwriting experience) within the general casualty space. Predominantly general casualty across a wide remit of territories including UK, Ireland, wider Europe, Australia, LATAM, Canada + – risks are interesting and can have a complex nature, so technical underwriters preferring the larger and a more diverse risk portfolio may have a wider interest in this.
This role really needs an underwriter who is confident and self assured of decision making, management offer out empowerment to enjoy autonomy and how have ability to underwrite without much oversight. The team are really developing in the LATAM area and conversational Spanish is required to continue with the success of its continued growth.
A seasoned underwriter with good broker relationships, who enjoys this aspect as well as travelling on a fairly regular basis. Broker specialists in the LATAM field would also be strongly encouraged to consider this opportunity – get in touch even if just for an informal conversation.
