Client Relationship Manager
South of England
£45,000 + Car Allowance | Hybrid
A growing insurance business is looking to appoint an experienced Client Relationship Manager to take ownership of relationships with a portfolio of insurer clients.
This is a key role sitting between the client and the wider business, ensuring service expectations are understood, SLAs and KPIs are delivered, and any issues are identified and resolved quickly.
You’ll work closely with operational, technical, surveying and leadership teams, acting as the voice of the client internally while also representing the business confidently at client meetings and reviews.
The Role
- Manage and develop strong, trusted relationships with insurer clients
- Act as the primary point of contact for key client stakeholders
- Develop a detailed understanding of client requirements, claims philosophy and service expectations
- Monitor SLAs, KPIs, delegated authorities and contractual requirements
- Identify service issues, trends and areas of underperformance and drive corrective action
- Coordinate the resolution of client concerns, complaints and service failures
- Lead and prepare for regular client performance and service reviews
- Produce and present meaningful MI and performance information
- Ensure client actions and commitments are progressed through to completion
- Gather client feedback and use it to drive service improvements
- Identify opportunities to strengthen relationships, improve service and support client retention
Required Experience
You’ll need a solid background within the UK insurance market, ideally with experience across claims, account management, insurer relationships or a closely related environment.
You should have:
- At least 3 years’ experience within insurance
- Experience managing relationships with clients or external stakeholders
- Strong understanding of the insurance claims lifecycle
- Good knowledge of SLAs, KPIs and delegated authority arrangements
- Experience working with operational teams to resolve service or performance issues
- Confidence leading or participating in client meetings and performance reviews
- Strong communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills
- The ability to interpret MI and performance data in a client context
- Confidence handling difficult conversations and constructively challenging when required
- A proactive approach with strong ownership and organisational skills
Experience within property claims, loss adjusting, surveying, outsourced claims or an insurance supply-chain environment would be particularly beneficial.
A CII qualification would be advantageous but is not essential.

The role is based in the South Midlands / South of England and will involve regular travel to Nottingham and London.
