IPS are working with a global insurer looking to appoint a Motor Claims Team Manager to lead a high-performing team handling complex third-party motor claims.
This is a leadership role with real influence – you’ll shape performance, drive technical excellence, and play a key part in controlling indemnity spend while improving customer outcomes.

    The role
You’ll manage a team of adjusters handling predominantly Third Party Property Damage claims, with exposure to credit hire and some bodily injury. Working closely with senior leadership, you’ll be responsible for delivering strong operational performance, maintaining technical standards, and embedding a culture of continuous improvement.
You’ll also act as a key escalation point, ensuring customer outcomes are handled fairly and efficiently, while maintaining strong relationships with brokers and clients.

    What you’ll be doing
    • Leading, coaching and developing a team of motor claims professionals
    • Driving performance against KPIs, SLAs and cost control targets
    • Providing technical guidance on complex claims (up to circa $500k)
    • Managing stakeholder relationships across brokers, customers and internal teams
    • Ensuring strong governance, compliance and audit performance
    • Implementing strategies to improve claims outcomes and service delivery
    • Handling escalations and complaints with a customer-first approach

    Experience
    • Proven experience leading motor claims teams
    • Strong technical knowledge across casualty motor (TPPD, credit hire, some BI)
    • Experience handling complex/high-value claims
    • Solid understanding of the UK motor claims landscape and regulatory framework
    • Confident communicator with the ability to influence at all levels
    • Strategic mindset with a focus on improving performance and reducing costs
    • Organised, proactive and comfortable in a fast-paced environment

This is a chance to step into a visible leadership role within a well-established global business, where you’ll have the autonomy to shape your team and make a measurable impact.
