Location – Witham offices (3 days per week)
Salary – Competitive depending on experience
IPS Group are working with a leading Global Insurer to bring in a Pro Rata Reinsurance Technician.
In this role, you will work closely with reinsurance professionals across both Witham and London, gaining exposure to a wide range of expertise and technical knowledge.
The role
You will develop significant experience operating in a highly technical capacity within a broker environment, with the opportunity to build on your existing skills in a genuinely progressive role that offers full end‑to‑end responsibility for a client portfolio.
You will be part of a global organisation that partners with clients of all sizes to define, design and deliver innovative solutions to quantify and manage risk. The role also offers practical benefits, including free parking near the Witham office.
You will take ownership of an assigned client portfolio, managing all technical responsibilities related to client accounts- This includes working closely with Market Fiduciary teams to support the collection of funds and overseeing all transactional processes such as Pro Rata activities, brokerage receivables, funding, retention, e-trading, ad hoc reporting requests, and renewals.
What they are looking for
To succeed in this role, you will bring experience in Reinsurance Premiums or Claims, including handling cash loss or large loss scenarios.
You will have strong Excel skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office applications. A proactive attitude towards learning technical account structures is essential, along with the ability to manage your workload effectively and set clear expectations with stakeholders.
While not essential, you may have reinsurance claims experience and familiarity with Pro Rata processes.
Experience working in a technical capacity within a broker environment would be advantageous, as would knowledge of London Market systems such as LORS and the Insurance Market Repository (IMR).
