US Casualty Lead – Risk Financing – Risk Management
This is a senior appointment at large, corporate ftse 500 company, who are seeking an experienced ‘Head of Casualty & Property’ to develop and oversee the risk financing operation for Casualty- (Vehicle Liability, General Liability, Workers Compensation & Employers Liability) and Property (property damage & business interruption) exposures emanating from the Group’s worldwide businesses. This role will lead the full team responsible for execution of casualty & property risks in line with the risk managed insurance strategy.
This is a role for an experienced manager who has enjoyed responsibility for a global remit ideally within a large insurer, such as a multinational. The casualty expertise in this role is paramount, given the extent of US exposure of risk within the group. There is a strong element of portfolio management, as this business operates within in almost every country throughout the world. The most complex casualty cases are US based, so expertise across this platform really is essential.
You would deal directly with the main Insurer, maintaining close relationships with the multinational servicing teams.
You would be responsible for setting the pricing for each 12 month period, so a strong understanding of technical underwriting practices is essential.
This will suit someone who has really developed a long career within the multinational space and who perhaps is just looking for something a little different but equally challenging!
