We are partnered with a specialist London Market Insurance Business who are seeking to hire a Management Accountant to support the Finance Director. The successful candidate will assume responsibility for the Management Accounting process, oversee Transactional/Processing Finance Operations (Accounts Payable, Banking/Cash Management and Payroll), Client Money Calculations/Reconciliations and to assist in FP&A. Key Responsibilities
Month-End
– Produce monthly Management Accounts including posting salary journals and accruals/prepayments.
– Prepare and Post Payroll journals.
– Present monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations.
– Present monthly Management Information and KPIs to the FD.
– Maintain Office and Bank Account reconciliations.
Finance Operations and Processing
– Control of Accounts Payable and Expenses processes.
– Processing of Accounts Payable, maintaining control over invoices and expense systems.
– Prepare monthly Client Money Calculations and reconciling to underlying Broking System (Global XB).
– Posting of Client Cash and Insurer Payments deputising for the IBA Technician.
FP&A
– Assist in the annual Budgeting and Forecasting process.
Candidate Specification
– Excellent Written and Verbal Communication.
– Either AAT Qualified, Part-Qualified and Studying (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) or Qualified-by-Experience.
– Insurance industry experience.
– Competency with Microsoft Excel including the use of Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPS.
