Head of Assurance and Controls
Seeking an individual to make a significant impact at a senior level within this well established and ambitious Insurance business in the London Specialty Market, leading the development and ongoing oversight of a best-in-class Assurance and Controls framework within a growing and evolving insurance business.
Initially, you will play a key role in delivering a significant controls transformation programme, working closely with an external consultancy and senior business stakeholders to implement a robust risk and control environment. You will coordinate assurance activity across the business, manage third-party audits, drive remediation plans, and provide clear, impactful reporting to senior leadership.
As the framework becomes embedded, the role will evolve into a broad assurance leadership position, overseeing the effectiveness of first-line controls and conducting targeted reviews that provide meaningful insight and challenge.
We are looking for a credible and influential leader with a background in Audit, Assurance, Risk or Compliance with experience operating in complex organisations. You will combine strategic thinking with a hands-on approach, possess excellent stakeholder management skills, and have the gravitas to engage and influence senior executives while driving delivery at pace.
Experience working with UK Regulated Insurance firms is required.
