Cyber Development Underwriter
IPS Group are proud to be working alongside a major Global Insurer who are in the process of launching their new cyber product and are therefore looking to hire an ambitious Cyber Development Underwriter to help shape the initiative. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of something big which will allow you to put your stamp on it.
This Insurer is building something big creating a newly formed, dedicated Cyber team within a fast-growing UK National Markets business, designed to transform how retail Cyber insurance is traded and delivered to the SME market.
With a new product launching early 2026, targeting UK-domiciled SMEs (under £100M turnover) with a cutting-edge e-trade platform for businesses under £25M they’re putting underwriting talent at the heart of their ambitious growth plans.
You will underwrite complex SME Cyber risks with a strong focus on broker engagement owning and developing broker relationships and championing the Cyber proposition. As the team grows you will support junior team members and help raise technical capability across the board working closely with trading and development leads to build pipeline and deliver growth.
It will be key that you bring energy, visibility, and commercial acumen to every broker conversation you have showing your passion for cyber combined with your technical understanding.
To be considered you must not only have cyber underwriting experience but a real passion for everything Cyber and the evolving SME market. You will be able to display a track record of successful underwriting and broker development in competitve markets combined with a results-driven mindset ready to make a real impact

This role can be based in either Manchester, Leeds or Birmingham
