They’re keen to speak with proven New Business Underwriters who enjoy the trading side of underwriting and are ready for a more broker-facing role. This isn’t a move away from underwriting. It’s an opportunity to combine your technical expertise with greater market exposure, giving you the chance to become a visible and trusted contact for brokers across the North and into the Midlands.
The position has been created to provide brokers with direct access to an experienced underwriter who can build relationships, understand complex cases and help find solutions for risks that don’t always fit a standard market appetite. It’s a role that sits at the heart of both underwriting and business development, offering the autonomy to develop trading relationships while continuing to write profitable Property & Casualty business.
You’ll spend time in front of Brokers, developing existing relationships and creating new ones, while supporting a wide range of Commercial Combined, Property and Casualty risks. The business has built its reputation on making difficult placements easier, so the ability to think commercially, ask the right questions and look beyond the obvious will be just as important as technical underwriting ability.
