Casualty Specialty Treaty Underwriter – Bermuda – Relocation Package
As part of ongoing growth and expansion, this is a newly created opportunity within a dynamic and lean underwriting team. While prior treaty experience is preferred, candidates with a background in direct underwriting—particularly those who have transitioned from actuarial or pricing roles—will also be considered.
The portfolio spans general liability, cyber, and other specialty lines, supporting a global book of cedents, including significant US exposure.
We are seeking candidates who are further along in their careers, requiring minimal training in both underwriting and analytics. This is a high-activity platform, and the successful individual will need to be confident stepping into a fast-paced environment and adding value quickly.
Key Requirements:
- Strong analytical and underwriting background (treaty or direct underwriting with pricing/actuarial exposure)
- Experience across relevant specialty lines (GL, cyber, etc.)
- Ability to operate autonomously within a lean, high-performance team
- Comfortable making a rapid transition into a new role
- Willingness to travel frequently, including regular trips back to London—this will be a consistent and expected aspect of the role
Worth mentioning that given how busy this platform is, the experience is really the key as there will be minimal time to provide excess training in areas that you may have less knowledge, so self-starters demonstrating confidence within similar areas as mentioned is pre-requisite.
