Q: What do you remember feeling on your very first day with IPS Group?
I came in wide eyed, completely clueless, and eager to soak everything up. I remember feeling totally overwhelmed and unsure of what I was doing, but at the same time I was really excited to dive in and start figuring things out.

Q: Looking back at your time here so far, what achievement are you most proud of?
One of the things I’m most proud of is catching up with candidates I placed in their very first insurance roles and hearing that they’ve now progressed into senior positions. It’s incredibly rewarding to see how far they’ve come and to know I played a small part in the start of their careers.
Q: What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned in your role?
The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that consistency and persistence really do pay off. Recruitment isn’t about quick wins, it’s about investing in genuine relationships and trusting the process, even when things don’t go your way.
Q: Thinking about the time you’ve spent with your colleagues, what is one of your favourite team memories?
The IPS trip to Barcelona has to be one of my standout highlights. It was the perfect combination of fun, laughter, and bonding time with the team, and it left me with some brilliant memories.
Q: Is there a hidden talent, surprising skill, or fun fact about yourself that most people wouldn’t know?
A slightly random one, but Paul Van Dyk once served me a beer at Café Mambo. Definitely not something that happens every day!
Q: What are the key things you can’t do your day without while at work?
For me, the essentials are coffee first thing in the morning and electrolytes to keep me going throughout the day. That combo is the real secret weapon.
Q: What advice would you give to someone just starting out in the company or in recruitment to help them settle in and succeed?
Stick with it. Recruitment is a complete rollercoaster, but it’s incredibly rewarding once you find your rhythm. The company genuinely supports you, and the team truly wants you to succeed. Show the right attitude, work hard, and you’ll go far.
Q: Looking back at when you first started compared to now, how has your perspective, approach, or understanding of your role changed over time?
When I first started, my focus was purely on learning the basics and trying to find my feet. Now I’ve gained a much broader perspective, I understand not just recruitment itself, but also the importance of long-term relationships, personal brand, and teamwork in achieving real success.
Q: What are you most excited about for the future in your role, and how do you hope to continue growing professionally?
Looking forward, I’m excited to keep evolving in my role, helping shape the next generation of recruiters, strengthening client relationships, and continuing to watch the people I’ve placed grow and thrive in their careers.
Q: If you had to sum up your journey with the company so far in just one word, what would it be?
Rewarding
