Motor Underwriter
Location – Colchester. 3 days per week
Salary – Up to £40,000
IPS Group are working with a leading insurer to find a Motor Underwriter to join their growing National Underwriting Hub!
This is the perfect opportunity for someone with a couple of years of exposure to Motor Trade underwriting that has full Underwriting Authority and wants to further develop their technical expertise with a leading Insurer.
About the role
- You’ll be responsible for managing a portfolio of new business and renewal cases, delivering profitable underwriting decisions in line with company appetite and guidelines.
- You’ll work closely with brokers and internal teams to drive growth and maintain strong trading relationships.
- Keep up to date with relevant market trends and insights
- Be on hand to support colleagues with any questions
About you
- Ideally 2 years of Motor Trade underwriting experience (Commercial lines preferred)
- Strong negotiation and broker relationship skills
- Commercial awareness with the ability to assess and price risk effectively
- Organised, proactive and able to manage a varied caseload
- Working towards Cert CII (desirable)
- Full Underwriting Authority
