Class Underwriter – Credit
We are seeking an ambitious and innovative Trade Credit Underwriter to lead the underwriting and growth of a climate‑linked credit and political risk portfolio. You’ll begin with a tight focus on climate lending before expanding into broader credit opportunities as the portfolio matures.
Our client is already writing large, high‑quality carbon projects and has secured strong Lloyd’s support for this emerging class. Their specialist expertise provides a unique platform for you to build a differentiated credit and political risk portfolio with a climate thread running through it, with particular emphasis on emerging markets.
You must be confident engaging with senior stakeholders across banks, brokers, capacity providers, internal teams and Lloyd’s, as well as representing the business at industry events and conferences. This is a thoughtful, high‑touch, high‑profile underwriting role involving complex deal structuring, lender engagement and product innovation.
