IPS Group is partnering with a leading insurer that is looking to recruit a number of Commercial Underwriters as part of an exciting period of growth across its UK operations.
The opportunities are available across York, Bristol, Belfast and Glasgow. Due to continued growth, ongoing investment within the underwriting function and a number of internal promotions, the business is looking to strengthen its underwriting team with several new hires.
The role will involve underwriting SME and Mid-Market commercial risks, supporting new business, renewals and MTAs. You’ll work closely with brokers and agency partners, combining technical underwriting with relationship management and trading activity.
You’ll gain exposure across a broad range of business including Commercial Combined, Farm & Agriculture and Motor Trade, whilst also working across sectors such as manufacturing, retail and wider commercial markets.
We’re keen to speak with individuals who have commercial underwriting experience and enjoy working across a variety of product lines. You do not need experience across every class of business to be considered.
Following an initial period in the office whilst getting established in the role, the business operates a flexible hybrid model, typically around 2 days per week in the office.
In return, the business is offering a salary of up to £45,000, a 10% bonus opportunity, strong pension and a comprehensive benefits package.
