Commercial Producer – Build Your Own Book (No Inherited Clients)
A high-growth, independently owned commercial insurance broker with a strong reputation for relationship-led broking is looking to hire a new business Account Executive / Producer to build a book from scratch across the Worcestershire / West Midlands region (Birmingham, Worcester and surrounding areas).
This is a true producer role, focused on winning new business through networking, referrals and prospecting, then managing those relationships end-to-end. There is no inherited portfolio – the emphasis is on building a sustainable, long-term income stream through organic growth.
The business combines strong market access with a personal, client-first approach and has grown consistently by investing in its people and building long-term partnerships. It operates with an entrepreneurial mindset and offers the platform, infrastructure and support needed to succeed, while giving individuals the freedom to develop their own client base.
They are looking for someone who is commercially driven, enjoys being out in the market, and is confident building relationships face-to-face. You should be comfortable starting with little or no book, with the resilience and motivation to create and convert your own opportunities.
You’ll come from a broker background with experience winning and retaining clients across commercial lines. Technical ability is helpful, but mindset, energy and a genuine appetite for new business are more important early on.
This is an activity-led, entrepreneurial role where success is shaped by your own effort and network. Office presence in the West Midlands is important initially, with more flexibility developing as your book grows.
Ideal for someone who wants ownership, autonomy and the chance to build something genuinely valuable over time, rather than remaining in a servicing or desk-based position.
