James Austin
Over 20 years experience working in London, I spent my first decade working within front office money broking and dealing roles at companies including Tullet Prebon and Western Union. For the last decade, I have worked almost exclusively in insurance focused recruitment across the UK, Europe and USA markets. My specialism has been Governance (Risk, Compliance, Audit, Legal) and have experience in building desks from small to market leading.
Why did you join IPS?
I joined IPS as the company is one of the most established insurance recruitment specialists in the world and is a very relationship driven business. They have a great footing in various regions around the world and a great brand across Governance, Claims, Tech, Finance, Broking and Underwriting. Their relationships and large client base will help to enhance my expansion of IPS into the growing US market. Many people at IPS have been here for over 10 years, which is testament to the business culture.
What are your interests outside of work?
In my spare time I like the gym, golf, gaming and walking my two dogs Nala and Leo.
