IPS strives to shape it’s approach and provide solutions around the evolving requirements of risk management. Our Risk Management Jobs are mainly received from two major segments; General (Re) Insurance and the Corporate Market. The latter can comprise large organisations (publicly listed-often FTSE listed), private companies and the public/charity sectors. Across this piece our specialist team has a strong track record in placing permanent and interim appointments both on a contingent and retained search basis.
Our General Insurance clients are situated in London, regionally throughout the UK, as well as Ireland and Continental Europe. The skill-sets/experience regularly requested cover all facets of risk management, whether it be more operationally focused, with an emphasis on qualitative issues or with a bias towards the capital piece, requiring a greater quantitative involvement. We work closely with our colleagues in the Actuarial Team to provide additional options, when an actuarial specialism is requested.
Another long standing area of Risk Management Jobs expertise relates to vacancies in risk management at major corporate companies. This is a sector where perhaps the biggest changes are happening, resulting in many instances in a requirement for a broader skill-set. Equally, many of these companies are going even further by embedding an ERM approach. Typically the teams will be focusing on the entire risk cycle, including identification, analysis, monitoring, reporting, mitigation and transferring risk. With this approach these companies take control, build a business supporting culture and create opportunities.
At IPS we are especially interested in identifying the Risk Management Jobs talent required for the future. Yes, insurance is a major element, with knowledge of the market and the need for close/strategic relationships with key stakeholders being a significant component. But in additional to this and, to meet the evolving risk/ERM landscape, IPS will be identifying candidates who have the knowledge and leadership qualities to make accurate assessments and put the measures in place to be a “business enabler”.
