Senior Catastrophe Risk Analyst – Specialty
IPS are working with a highly regarded Lloyd’s syndicate in their search for a Catastrophe Analyst to join the team at a Senior level, focusing on Specialty lines.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work across multiple Natural and Non-Natural lines of business, playing a vital role in providing pricing and analytics to key stakeholders including Underwriting teams and Senior management. You will have the opportunity to work cross-functionally with other teams including supporting on developing the internal view of risk, climate change research, model validation, as well as exciting project work on an ad-hoc basis. You will also have the chance to oversee the training and development of junior colleagues, making this a great opportunity to develop managerial skills and qualities.
To be considered for this position, applicants should:
- Have experience using a recognised vendor model with a Specialty class focus (including but not limited to Property, Energy, Marine, Casualty)
- Technical ability using coding and programming languages such as SQL, R, and Python being highly advantageous.
- Clear and confident in communicating with both internal and external stakeholders.
