My client, a leading London Market specialist insurer have a rare opportunity for a junior level candidate to progress with their underwriting career and join their specialist Cargo team in Birmingham / Kent / Manchester as a Junior Cargo Underwriter.

I’m looking to hear from candidates with 1+ years commercial underwriting experience, this can be from any area of commercial insurance, should you have marine / cargo experience this would be a massive bonus but not essential. My client will also consider cargo brokers with 1+ years’ experience keen to move into underwriting.

Supporting the Underwriting Manager and managing renewals, you will join a technically strong team so there is stacks of knowledge and experience for you to tap into to help your development. There will be a focus on building strong relationships therefore personality wise you will need to be confident and ambitious with a real want to learn and develop.
