About Us

IPS Group began as Insurance Personnel Selection in 1969 and we provided a professional recruitment service to the London insurance market. Over the years we have expanded and now have specialist recruitment teams in place for financial services jobs, finance jobs, actuarial jobs, IT jobs, executive jobs, loss adjusting jobs, pensions jobs, secretarial jobs and call centre jobs. We also offer a legal recruitment service and for legal jobs in the UK regions we have our Anakin Seal division. In each of these sectors, we believe we have become one of the best known and most respected recruiters.

We are wholly owned by both the Directors and staff and have offices in London, Leeds, Manchester and Birmingham as well as the USA (Chicago), and Asia (Singapore, Hong Kong and Shanghai, China). We are active across the UK and Central Europe, the USA, Asia and the Middle East, providing search, database, advertised and interim recruitment solutions to a very wide range of clients in our fields of operation.

Our market sectors

We are best known for recruitment in the UK and international general insurance markets, a service we offer from all of our offices and work closely with a wide range of blue chip clients to place candidates in a variety of insurance jobs across the general insurance, pensions, actuarial, employee benefits and wealth management industries.

From our office throughout the UK, we recruit for permanent, temporary and contract jobs. As we have grown over the years we now regularly place candidates in pensions, actuarial, financial planning, risk and compliance, life, employee benefits, loss adjusters, accountants, finance, lawyers and legal support, IT and call centre jobs. Through Anakin Seal, we also recruit legal professionals at all levels for private practice and in-house legal jobs.

We deal with all levels of recruitment from junior staff to executive appointments, search, and selection for permanent, contract or temporary positions and our specialist executive recruitment division handles assignments on a retained basis for management and senior level staff. In the USA we have established a specialist search business, IPS Search, to locate executives for North American property and casualty insurers.

Within each of our specialist areas, we offer you a totally confidential recruitment service and our expert consultants provide free and impartial advice on finding a new position, whether you are a newly qualified accountant looking to progress your career or a broker wanting to move to a blue chip company.

We find it is best to not approach a firm or employer without making every effort to obtain permission from you first. Rest assured that we will not subject you to the unsolicited mass mailing techniques favoured by some recruitment consultancies. We prefer to work one a 1:1 basis with both our clients and candidates, with regular phone calls, feedback and meetings to discuss and fulfil individual needs and preferences.

Discretion and confidentiality throughout the recruitment process is essential and we are always available to provide company information from our extensive library, maps for interviews, tips and advice or whatever you may need to give you the best chance of landing your dream job. Once a successful candidate has accepted the position we are also available to help with any last-minute issues. Our Staff

As our Directors and staff independently own IPS Group we find this encourages us to concentrate on developing long-term business relationships. It also means within each of our specialist sectors we are constantly refining our recruitment techniques, allowing us to offer our clients a streamlined and highly effective recruitment service.

The vast majority of our consultants have been recruited from the sectors in which they now specialise in and have become longstanding members of staff. Investing the time and energy to establish a significant presence in each of our specialist sectors has meant that our clients and candidates gain direct advantage from a very well informed, expert and comprehensive recruitment service. This is something we will continue in the future and one of the ways we do this is by investing in our staff. We provide regular training and development, both in-house and by sitting the professional exams set by the Recruitment and Employment Confederation.
