I am working on behalf of SME Retail business that is currently looking for a Bookkeeper to join their head office in Barnsley. With retail outlets throughout the Yorkshire area, the successful applicant will be responsible for preparing the accounts for all sites, and be primarily based at their head office in Barnsley.In the role as Bookkeeper, you are expected to have experience in the following:- Preparation of monthly management accounts- Preparation of weekly and monthly payroll- Preparation of VAT returns- Bookkeeping- Cash flow forecasting- Year end accounts and tax returns- Liaison with the external auditors- Excellent IT skills including Excel and SAGE- Full clean driving licence and car- Other ad-hoc and admin dutiesThe role as Bookkeeper is permanent, and although the quoted salary is £22,000-£25,000, it is negotiable depending upon the candidate.If you would like any more information about the advertised Bookkeeper role, or any other roles in Barnsley or South Yorkshire, then please contact Edward Bishop on 0114 230 0971, or email: edward.bishop@ipsfinance.com
