A leading global insurer
Role:
To serve as a primary user contact for analysing and designing technology solutions to business problems as defined and agreed by the governing bodies in the business in order to meet business needs and targets.
Duties:
• Assist in the delivery of small enhancements and defect resolution to maintain high quality systems and processes that benefit the business
• Ensure that all business system is delivered within the current, agreed methodologies adopted by the business and/or IT in order to provide consistency across product functions and the Group, and that delivery is within budget
• Provide effective translation of business requirements into methodology documentation
• Provide 3rd line support, advice and guidance and offer solutions to business problems
• Develop and maintain a good knowledge of relevant business areas, keeping abreast of new initiatives arising in the Insurance market
• Control and report on the status of assigned project tasks
• Assist user training and attend required business user groups
Essential Knowledge:
• Up to date knowledge of SQL Server, Process Analysis, Data Modelling and Function Design
• Track record of identifying and analysing problems
• First class report writing skills
• Ability to build effective working relationships
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
