Company Profile:

A major internationally recognised Reinsurance Company.

Responsibilities:

This individual will be responsible for playing a key role in the development
and implementation of enterprise critical applications. On a day to day
basis, they will meet with Business Analysts to review and refine system
requirements; design and develop technical specifications to meet the system
requirements and implement system functionality by writing C#.NET and/or
VB/NET code.

Assist in defining and reviewing requirements and use cases for the insurance
applications
Use the business process requirements to drive out application requirements
and metrics
Design the insurance applications to meet the business process design and
application requirements
Validate the design with the stakeholders to ensure that the design satisfies
the requirements
Supervise and support other software engineers in completing designs
Inform the technical lead and project manager of any issues that may affect
other areas of the project
Participate in quality management reviews ensuring the application design and
related work products satisfy the requirements
Participate in transitioning the design to other software engineers, and
ensure a clear and complete understanding of the designs
Work with other software engineers and architects to make sure that the
configuration and custom components meet application requirements and
performance goals

Requirements:

Degree educated (or equivalent)
Experience with .NET, OO, SOA concepts – strong coding background in C#.NET
preferred but VB.NET acceptable
Familiar with business process design concepts and principles
Knowledge of relational database concepts
Ability to work independently with minimal assistance
