A leading international legal practice
Role Profile:
The Development Server team is responsible for the strategic development of the company’s worldwide servers, and server application which develops and maintains software application for the company; implements and upgrades client/server systems. The team is part of their Service Delivery team and as such, can come under considerable pressure to complete tasks and projects to tight time scales.
Duties:
Third line support for the company’s server’s infrastructure
Interface between the DBA/Server support team and the 24 x 7 Support Services team for handover
Part of a team responsible for the detailed analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance of new and existing IT server applications
Provide whiteboard sessions to team members, and also other teams, on new systems that they implement and manage
Access the feasibility of technical solutions within the context of the company’s business objectives
Creating technical specifications from defined requirements
Requirements:
Proficient at managing and prioritising their time when dealing with multiple tasks, often with tight time scales.
Experience of working with Microsoft Exchange 2003 and Active Directory is a necessity
Experience of working with Enterprise Vault, Interwoven Worksite 8, Mailsweeper, Blackberry Enterprise Server, Citrix PS4. Symantec AV, Websense, Interaction, Vmware 3.0 would be advantageous
