Job Purpose
To provide operational claims handling dealing with a range of responsibilities within the claims handling process.
Accountabilities and Main responsibilities of job
· Liaise in a professional manner with external and internal customers using the most appropriate medium, e.g. telephone, e-mail, letters, etc.· Build and maintain effective relationships with all customers.· Follow protocols and guidelines to ensure client’s service standards are met in accordance with SLA.· Adheres to quality standards.· Ensure effective use of internal technology.· Achieve defined quantative targets.· Manage and prioritise own workflow.· Operates within own area of accountability, escalating issues and seeking guidance when required.· Contributes to the achievements of both financial and reputational targets.· Analyse and interpret complex information.· Investigate, evaluate and decision make.· Provide support, mentoring and guidance as required.· Maintain and develop own technical knowledge and expertise.
Job related experience, qualifications and skills
Essential
· 5 GCSE passes or equivalent level, including Maths and English – Grade C (or equivalent).· A commitment to learn and develop new skills.· Strong team player.· Good communication skills at all levels.· Ability to remain motivated in a changing working environment.· Good IT skills.· Essential skills and knowledge to be able to handle Disease Claims.
