Description:
A new Legal Expenses Underwriting opening with this specialist general insurer who offers a range of products sold through a network of brokers and intermediaries.
Based within the Legal Expenses Underwriting Department, the role holder will offer a comprehensive service giving support to the Broker network. As the technical focal point to the team, the role holder will deal with any referrals or queries and complete case management work relating to Legal Expenses.
Main duties will include:
- Deal with Personal Injury insurance applications.- Make decisions whether cases should be accepted, rejected or cancelled.- Monitor cases identifying any risks or potential loss.- Audit solicitors files.- Liasing with solicitors and brokers.
Candidates should have experience in handling Personal Injury claims, ideally both RTA and EL/PL as well as having experience or an understanding of Legal Expenses or After The Event underwriting.
