This growing International Insurer are known to be taking on new lines of business. However within their existing Casualty account they write a good deal of UK and International Professional Indemnity risks (about 75%) and General Liability (approximately 25%) About half of the PI business comes from the UK and the rest from Australia, Canada, Europe and the Far East. The General Liability is mainly PL, UK and International, primary and excess layer. Our client are looking to strengthen their claims team by appointing a Senior Adjuster with a mixture of Professional Indemnity and General Liability experience who has been exposed to large and complex losses. A limit of authority is likely to be £1,000,000 in the first instance. The jobholder will be seen as the Deputy Claims Manager who will have responsibility for mentoring a small team of junior Adjusters. As part of the company's expansion they will be writing D&O business and the jobholder will become involved in this class in due course.
