This well known and leading insurer are looking for an experienced Commercial
Property Underwriter to join their team.

You will provide underwriting expertise within the Commercial Property core
underwriting department, working closely with the Regional Underwriting
Manager. Reviewing existing accounts and negotiating with brokers. Assessing
new business, calculatiing quotations and capacity. Maintaining and improving
broker relationships and generating activity. Executing the branch strategy
for growth and delivering on retention and new business budgets. Duties will
include contract issuance, system debiting, liaison with brokers and
statistical preparation

Excellent technical underwriting ability and knowledge of a provincial
market. Ability to work with other team members and provide direction and
council to more junior staff. Customer focus is key and knowledge of the local
market an advantage. Persistence and drive will be part of the makeup of the
successful candidate along with a positive, can do attitude.

Previous or existing Commercial Property Underwriting experience is essential
