Role:

You will be working alongside the Database Administrator and in close contact
with the Investment Managers. You will be required to develop an understanding
of the business processes in place as well as in depth knowledge of the data
we hold and the IT process in the business. Using your knowledge of current
technologies and techniques you will be architecting solutions that solve the
requirements of the Investment Managers as well as suggesting new ideas that
will keep the company at the forefront of delivering the best service and
experience to their clients.

Skills needed:

Experience in developing against Oracle (version in use is 8.1.7 R3).
Ability to manipulate large data sets and build complex queries.
Experience in requirements gathering from demanding business users.
Visual Studio 2005.
Strong Excel skills.
Strong Access skills.
Ability to architect solutions.
Ability to write clear specifications.
Ability to interface with our highly skilled outsourced development teams to
deliver these applications.
Ability to work under pressure and to skilfully manage conflicting requirement
requests.
