Description:
Working for one of the top names in the banking and financial services market this is an extremely interesting and high profile role. You will be working in conjunction with the Head of Pensions in the management and running of the UK Defined Benefit pensions scheme. Working on the employer side you will be attending trustee meetings as company representative, governance meetings as well assisting on the Investment Strategy.
This is an extremely high profile role, and you will be dealing with high level stakeholders on a regular basis. You will need a strong technical understanding of DB pensions and the issues surrounding them currently. In addition you will need to be able to get your views across to the trustee board and be able to demonstrate your points to the trustees and their advisors.
As a successful applicant you will need a strong technical understanding of UK pensions, specifically DB but some DC Knowledge would be useful. You will also need a solid understanding of Actuarial concepts, ideally with some Pensions actuarial background. You will also need an excellent knowledge of investments and investment practice within a pensions scheme. Excellent communication and influencing skills are a must in this role due to the level and background of the people you will be dealing with.
