Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity to join a unique team within our HR Services pensions practice. Our specialist team in Leeds plays an important national role in the work we do for companies who are going through an insolvency procedure. We work closely with other teams looking at all aspects of the business but we provide the pensions expertise. We provide advice to the insolvency practitioner on all types of UK pension arrangements. The tasks involved vary according to the nature of the insolvency and the pension scheme – but they are often complex involving pensions, insolvency and commercial considerations. We also advise companies on the management of their pension liabilities and on clearance applications to the Pensions Regulator in connection with corporate transactions. The work in which you will be involved is different to anywhere else and will be diverse, challenging and provide the opportunity for you to build on your current skills and experience. The existing team members are experienced and will be able to pass on their knowledge to you.
Requirements
Suitable candidates will have general experience across different types of UK pension arrangements, as well as knowledge of current legislation and regulatory requirements. Qualification through the Pensions Management Institute, or progress through the examinations, will be an advantage (other relevant professional institutes are also welcome). Study support is available.Ideally you will have come from a pensions consultancy background and you will now be looking for your next challenge. Your experience gained in pensions to date will demonstrate an ability to understand complex pensions issues and work to tight timescales.
