An international insurance investment and services business has an exciting opportunity for an experienced insurance accountant to join its London finance team as a Syndicate Accountant.
In this role you will undertake regulatory and monthly management reporting in respect of certain Lloyd’s entities in support of the Syndicate Controller. This will involve syndicate bookkeeping, assisting with the planning and production of monthly and quarterly accounting information, syndicate annual report and accounts and financial schedules, preparation of input data for filing of all Lloyds regulatory returns for Lloyd’s Syndicates to Lloyd’s within the agreed deadlines (This will include Annual Returns, Quarterly Returns , FSA Return, US and Canadian Reporting), contributing to the development of the systems for syndicate and agency reporting and liaising with auditors as necessary.
Applicants will need to demonstrate significant and recent experience of Lloyd’s syndicate and general management accounting, familiarity and experience of Lloyd’s reporting requirements including involvement in the preparation of core Lloyd’s market returns, a sound knowledge of IT systems and be studying towards a relevant professional qualification.
