A very well respected international insurance company has an exciting opportunity for an experienced insurance accountant to join its London finance team as a Senior Syndicate Accountant.
In this role you will perform all accounting activities in accordance with company policy and statutory requirements to ensure complete compliance with legal, regulatory, Codes of Conduct and best practice guidelines, produce syndicate reports and accounts, both on a regular basis and ad hoc to deliver accurate information according to the respective deadlines, prepare quarterly US and Canadian reporting requirements and annual NAIC returns to comply with external reporting regulations, prepare national and international tax returns to ensure the Company is compliant on tax laws, produce appropriate financial returns required by external bodies and regulators in order to meet reporting deadlines and prepare regular reports to the parent company on a GAAP basis to ensure compliance with internal reporting requirements.
Applicants will ideally be part qualified or qualified accountants and be able to demonstrate significant and recent experience of Lloyd’s syndicate and general management accounting, familiarity and experience of Lloyd’s reporting requirements including involvement in the preparation of core Lloyd’s market returns and a sound knowledge of IT systems.
