A leading a rapidly expanding insurance intermediary with over 100 offices in the UK and over 200 specialist insurance products on offer is recruiting for an Internal Auditor who will focus on it’s offices in the South East of England.
You will visit business units (circa 110) on a rotational basis to assess their financial and operating controls against a risk framework and Audit Programme. This will include clear documentation of the business’ processes through interviews with staff, preliminary identification of the relevant controls, testing of controls, review of management information, substantive testing against procedures/policy, on site debriefs with management and production of audit reports including recommendations. You will also be expected to assist in the production of quarterly board reports on audit progress and issue follow-ups, maintain a good working knowledge of current FSA compliance requirements and build good working relationships with MD’s and Regional Finance staff to assist with implementation of audit recommendations.
Applicants must understand financial reporting/regulatory requirements, understand the theory of risk assessment and is a qualified financial accountant or internal auditor with financial audit experience. There is a high degree of flexibility over where this role will be based and can be located in an office to suit the successful applicant.
