Description:
A major European insurance company has created an exciting new role for a qualified accountant to join them as their IT Financial Controller. Sitting in the Operations Office reporting to the COO with a matrix into the Global Head of Accounting and the Global Head of Planning & Analysis you will provide leadership into the financial planning and budget management of the IT operation, delivering relevant financial reporting and analyse to support decision making, recommending and implementing benchmarking capabilities/KPI’s for measuring financial performance with particular focus on IT and proactively support the identification and implementation of cost controlling initiatives to improve expense management accuracy and allocation capability. The key accountable areas within the role will be budget management, business and financial planning, financial reporting, performance management, cost control and procurement, project management/governance and staff management.
Applicants will be qualified accountants with a clear and demonstrable understanding of IT and the IT industry particularly as it relates to application development/maintenance, outsourcing, service management, commercial/ contract negotiations, IT financial reporting and the various IT governance frameworks, proven ability to analyse financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections to support the management of the business, have a clear understanding of key performance indicators and financial drivers and have Excellent financial management skills / experience, including a proven track record in reporting and experience in the development of budgets.
