IPS set up its Pensions Legal Recruitment unit in 1995 in response to the first
of many tranches of pensions legislation put in place by successive governments
over the last decade or so. This specialist recruitment offering has proved to be
extremely successful and is the only bespoke outlet for Pensions Lawyers in the
UK. We service every major law firm and consultancy in the country and have made
numerous introductions and placings across the UK at all levels from Newly Qualifieds
to Partners and lateral hires. We also work for government bodies and authorities,
life offices, independent trustees and financial institutions. As well as fee earning
solicitors, our range extends to PSLs, paralegals, technical and documentation specialists,
consulting trustees, in-house Lawyers and regulatory specialists at all levels.

Much of our work for employers is carried out on an orthodox database or contingency
basis but we have a long record of handling branded advertised assignments for clients
and offer a bespoke search service as well. This practice only services the pensions
law sector so we have an in depth knowledge of our field and the people and employers
operating within it and we have found that this specialist coverage has added value
for employers and candidates alike in such a niche market. We operate a highly consultative
approach, we do not trade in large volumes of CVs and details are only distributed
with the permission of the candidate concerned.
