About Us
IPS Group was founded in 1969 as Insurance Personnel Selection to provide
a professional recruitment service to the London insurance market. The group has
expanded and evolved since then and now provides professional recruitment services
to a variety of sectors in a variety of locations. We believe that we are unique
amongst larger recruitment businesses in that we have adopted the business practices
of a partnership. The majority of our shareholders are staff within the business
and this provides greater stability than is usual in the sector.
Sectors covered are:
General insurance, life, pensions and employee benefits, actuaries, loss adjusters,
accountants and finance staff, lawyers and legal support staff, IT people and contact
centre staff.
In these sectors we deal with all levels of recruitment, permanent, contract or
temporary. The group also has a specialist executive recruitment division which
handles assignments on a retained basis for management and senior level staff. In
the USA we have a specialist search business finding executives for North American
property and casualty insurers.
Methodology:
All areas of the Group provide a totally confidential service and can offer free
advice on any aspect of finding a new position in the sectors with which we deal.
IPS has a policy of never approaching any firm or employer without making every
effort to obtain the prior permission of the candidate concerned. You can therefore
be certain that you will not be submitted to the unsolicited mass mailing techniques
favoured by some recruitment consultancies. We work in partnership with clients
and candidates to discuss individual needs and preferences.
Discretion and confidentiality are closely observed throughout the recruitment process
and we are always on hand to provide company information from our extensive library,
maps for interviews, or whatever you may need to give you the optimum chance of
succeeding.
Our Staff:
Most of our consultants have been recruited from the sectors in which they now specialise.
This means that we can offer a very well informed and specialist service to both
candidates and clients. Our consultants are trained both in house and by sitting
the professional exams set by the Recruitment and Employment Confederation.
